Suzuki Piano Approach

The Suzuki Piano Teaching Method Inspired by the ease of children learning to speak their native language, the Suzuki method starts the music journey with listening. With the voices developed and learned by heart, the children will then play the music through their fingers under teachers’ guidance, and thus reading music scores come last. This is called the Mother-Tongue Approach.

Listen first, Play then, Read last

While teaching includes portraying different tone colors with children’s natural posture, achieving precision, and recognizing different tone colors, Parental Involvements is another critical element in this method. Parents are expected to participate in class with the children by taking notes and motivating their daily practices along the learning process. This method fosters positive experiences with an enjoyable parent-child learning moments.

Dr Suzuki
